Katherine Borse, RYT

Katherine began practicing yoga as a contemplative practice while studying Buddhism at Naropa Institute in Boulder, CO in 2000. In 2002 Katherine decided to take her practice deeper by partaking in her first teacher-training program in Nosara, Costa Rica with Don and Amba Stapleton. This one-month interdisciplinary yoga intensive, which emphasized the power of the relationship between breath and movement, was transformational for Katherine, forever altering her relationship to yogasana, as well as to the universe.

Katherine has a B.A. in religion, is a certified Yoga teacher, and is registered with Yoga Alliance. She has a deep interest in the philosophy of yoga and the yoga sutras, truly believing that yoga is an evolutionary practice of self-discovery. In 2006 Katherine journeyed to southern India to continue her study of Ashtanga Yoga, focusing on the Ashtanga vinyasa system, with the intention of bringing yoga into her life more completely. Katherine teaches a creative vinyasa practice that is a combination of yogasana and pranayama, influenced by Ashtanga vinyasa, Jivamukti, Kripalu, and Iyengar. She emphasizes breath and alignment, while allowing space for each individual to find their own fluidity of practice where joy, peace, surrender, and creativity can flourish.

Laure Carter, LMT, HHC, RYT

Laure began the quest for a holistic approach to wellness while pursuing a graduate degree in the field of linguistics in France thirteen years ago. Thus began the pursuit of knowledge and training that developed into a full-fledged career offering services of massage, yoga, reiki, wellness and nutrition education and coaching.

Though she had been practicing yoga and already become a teacher, Laure experienced her first Forrest Yoga class two years ago and immediately fell passionately in love with the practice. She rapidly witnessed amazing changes in her practice and was able to access poses that had remained ungraspable until then. She also became aware of the changes within herself, her level of self-confidence, faith in herself and Life, definiteness of purpose and decision and immediateness of action grew. Laure attributes all this to her Forrest Yoga practice and the teaching of her teacher Jessica Unmani King. Laure's intention therefore is to emulate her teacher and facilitate for her students the experience of the spectacular gifts this practice has to offer.
